Terms of Service

Last updated 23 August 2026

In plain language

Trial Selector is a closed-beta service for South African schools and clubs. Your organisation owns its trial data. We run the software. Plans are Pay-per-Trial or Yearly Unlimited, billed in ZAR excluding VAT.

1. The service

Trial Selector lets an organisation run sports trials: add players, invite selectors, score on the sideline, and rank players on-screen. There are no PDF or Excel exports.

2. Accounts and roles

Access is invite-only during closed beta. Selectors, organisation admins and Trial Selector staff have different permissions. You must keep your sign-in details safe.

3. Organisation responsibilities

The organisation is responsible for obtaining any consent needed to enter player data, for acceptable use of the service, and for the selection decisions it makes.

4. Plans and billing

Plans are Yearly Unlimited (unlimited trials) and Pay-per-Trial (one TrialCredit per trial). List prices are coming soon. When published they will be in ZAR excluding VAT. VAT will be added once we are registered. Closed-beta access is granted by Trial Selector staff — there is no self-serve checkout yet. No refunds once a trial has been activated.

5. Data ownership

The organisation owns the player and evaluation data it enters. We own the product, templates and aggregate platform analytics that do not identify a child or a school.

6. Availability

We aim for best-effort availability. Offline scoring on the device is designed so a missing signal does not lose a score.

7. Termination

You may cancel Yearly Unlimited at any time. We may suspend access for abuse or non-payment. After termination we delete or return organisation data on request, subject to the retention period in the Privacy Policy.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
